John Johnson

Mr. John Robert “Nick” Johnson, 74, of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, departed this life on Friday, November 8, 2019, at Prisma Healthcare Upstate. He was a son of the late Brady and Ophelia Brooks Johnson.

He was a graduate of Lincoln High School and was employed at New American Embroidery. He attended Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board.

Surviving are his wife, Rozena Gaines Johnson of the home; one stepdaughter, Courtney Jackson of Greenville; one stepson, B.J. Jackson of Greenville; two sisters, Laura (David) Smith and Tina Whitner, both of Travelers Rest; four brothers, Calvin (Annzell) Johnson, Charles Johnson, Bobby Allen Johnson, all of Travelers Rest, and Roger Johnson of Greenville; two aunts, Virginia B. Jones and Rhoda B. Gibson, both of Travelers Rest; one uncle, Grant Brooks of Travelers Rest; nieces reared in the home, Denise, Deborah, Bonnie and Dontavius Griffin; two grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Rozella Gaines of Greenville; and a host of other relatives and friends
