John Jones

Mr. John Michael Jones, 68, of 306 Fairmont Drive, passed on Monday, July 18, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Gladys Jones and stepson, Luther Hamilton.

John was a retiree of Marshall & Williams Steel Company.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ruth Bolden; brother, Luther Hamilton and aunt, Eliza Pace Lee.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria Fritz Jones of the home; one daughter, Fredericka Jones of Atlanta, GA; nieces raised in the home, Renae (Kevin) White and Charetta (Willie) Harmon, all of Greenville; sons, Francis Jones of Atlanta, Michael Jones of Greenville, John “Rusty” Bolden of Columbia, Alfonso Jefferson of Charlotte, NC, and Michael Jefferson of Greenville; sister, Geraldine (Marion) Bolden of Greenville; uncle, Sonny Jones of Greenville; twenty-five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
