John E. Lyles, 74, of Greenville, South Carolina was born on November 1, 1946, and departed this life on Thursday, November 23, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae Sullivan and HT Sullivan; a daughter, Kerri Palmore-Mattox; a brother, Charles “Bay” Lyles; a sister, Christine Chandler; a brother-in-law, Sam Chandler and a nephew, Reggie Rosemond.
Surviving: daughter, Torsiul Dickson of Greenville; sisters, Pauline Williams of Texas, Ernestine (Johnny) Chapel of Anderson, Bishop Paula (Jeffrey) Russick of Alabama, Ada “Lilbit” Sullivan, Barbara Lena Sullivan, and Ramona Byers, all of Greenville; brothers, Henry (Michelle) Sullivan and David Sullivan, both of Greenville and Dwight (Trisha) Sullivan of North Carolina; extended family, Charlene Lyles of Raleigh, NC, Nkenge Chiles, Sean Lyles, Vinson Lyles and Warren Hunt, all of Greenville and John (Pat) Lyles of Easley; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
