Johnny Smith

Mr. Johnny Steve Smith was born February 10, 1937, to the late Mattie M. Smith. Johnny went home to be with the lord on January 13, 2019. He was a friendly and loving person, born and raised in Williamston, South Carolina, where he attended the Caroline Public School.

Johnny attended various churches in South Carolina and Washington, DC, where he relocated to and was gainfully employed as a heavy equipment operator. He was fond of his Union Operating Engineers #77.

Johnny was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Mitchell Smith and a sister, Daltha Chick.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two sisters, Ruby Smith Williams and Georgia Smith, both of Williamston, SC; two brothers, Bobby Smith of Williamston, SC, and Charles Guyton of Greenville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
