Jones Bowen

Mr. Jones Eugene “Junior” Bowen, Jr., 82, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday June 25, 2019, at Greenville Post-Acute Nursing Home. He was the son of the late Jones E. Bowen, Sr., and Carrie Lee Gray.

He was a graduate of Sterling High School class of 1955, and worked at various jobs such as: Ross Builder Way, Builder Mart, and American Enterprises.

“Junior” attended St. Luke United Methodist Church and Meadow Fork Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sunie A. Bowen; a son, Jones T. Bowen; and a brother, James E. Bowen.

Left to cherish many fond memories are one son, Darrell (Alison) Bowen of Snohomish, WA; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Cleveland of Columbia, SC; his companion, Sharon Smith of the home; five grandchildren, Brian (Kimberly) Bowen, Eric (Alison) Cleveland, Justin (Tylisha) Bowen, Cory (DeAnna) Bowen and Alexis Bowen; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
