Joni Juanita Griffin

Ms. Joni Juanita Griffin, 66, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was a daughter of the late John Henry Harlson and Sarah Juanita Willoughby.

She was educated in the New York City School System. At the age of 12 years old, she accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized at First Calvary Church.

Surviving: her husband, Howard Griffin of Greenville, SC; five daughters, Shondrea Ware of Travelers Rest, SC, Catrina Willoughby (Kevin) of Greenville, SC, Ida Harlson of Charlotte, NC, Isina Griffin of Greenville, SC, and Wendy (Jarel) Rumsey of Easley, SC; one son, George Willoughby (Toni) of Taylors, SC; one sister, Jacqueline Garnett of Staten Island, NY; one stepsister, Vinita Pugh-Willoughby of St. Louis, MO; one brother, James Willoughby of Milwaukie, WI; one stepbrother, Alphonso Willoughby of Milwaukie, WI; special sisters, Marjorie (Roy) Whitney of Greenville, SC, Sarah Reeves of Greenville, SC, and Minnie “Bert” McKinney of Greenville, SC; a special brother, William (Valerie) Brown of Greenville, SC; twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
