Mr. Julius L. Harris was born in Greenville, South Carolina, on February 23, 1961, and departed this life on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Easley Baptist Hospital. He was the ninth child of the late Clarence Young and Lula Mae Harper Harris.
He graduated from J.L. Mann High School. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he was loved by all.
He was employed by Shaw Industries in Liberty, South Carolina for 22 years. He loved meeting people, landscaping and just being a good handyman.
He was a member of Greater True Light F.B.H. Church, where he loved to praise the Lord. He was a great support to Greater True Light Church.
He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Mary Bobo, Arthur Harper, Julia Drummond, Lena Harris, Louise Young, Lois Irby, Edward Young, Harold Young and Lace Rouse.
Julius leaves to mourn precious memories, his wife, Evangelist Faye Harris of the home; one son, Jamie Rhome of Central, SC; three daughters, Latoria Rhome of Greenville, SC, Kiara (Jamal) Williams of Easley, SC and Adrian (Lorenzo) Elmore of Spartanburg, SC; eight sisters, Bernice Benson of Atlanta, GA, Dorothy Defoor of Buffalo, NY, and Linda Harris, Sarah Logan, Deborah Yeargin, all of Greenville, SC, and Jeanette Willoughby, Lula Mae Young and Margaret Young, all of New Haven, CT; two brothers, Clayton Harris of Nashville, TN, and James Young of New Haven, CT; seven grandchildren; a devoted mother-in-law, Rev. Alma Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
