Kathie Smith

Mrs. Kathie Diann Smith, 62, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Friday, April 5, 2019, at McCall Hospice House. She was a daughter of the late William Samuel Smith, Sr., and Lillie Mae Drake Smith.

She was a graduate of Carolina High School and was employed at Compass Dining Services. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where she participated in the YWAs.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Franklin Smith, Jr.; a sister, Willie Mae Smith; a brother; June Smith; and a nephew, Quincy Smith.

Surviving are her husband, Franklin Smith of Greenville; two daughters, Adrian Smith and Maria Smith, both of Greenville; one son, Andre (Vanity) Smith of Greenville; three sisters, Patricia Smith, Sandra (Ezell) Simpson and Fannie Grant, all of Greenville; one brother, David (Louise) Smith of Travelers Rest; a grandmother, Fannie Drake of Union Point, GA; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
