Mr. Kenneth Lamar Todd departed this life on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, in Easley, South Carolina. He was born in White Plains, New York, on Wednesday March 14, 1973, to Patricia Todd and the late Robert Coverdale.
He attended the Creative World of Learning Day Care, and was a 1991 graduate of Easley High School. He attended Lander University and Spartanburg Methodist College and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from
Limestone College.
Kenneth was a member of Sweet Canaan Baptist Church, where he served as a Junior Sunday School Superintendent. He also served on the Trustee Board and was ordained a Deacon in December of 2009, under the leadership of Pastor Pervis L. Brown.
He loved driving, and had several jobs where he used his driving skills. He was a van driver for his church for several months and was a chauffeur for the Atchison Bus Company and the Embassy Suites Hotel. One of his passengers was the late singer Ray Charles. He was employed at the United States Post Office as a rural carrier for 17 years until his health began to fail. An avid football fan, his favorite teams were the South Carolina Gamecocks and the Carolina Panthers.
Left to cherish fond memories are his wife of 20 years, Hattie Lolelia Hendrix Todd; one daughter, Kendall Genice Todd (age 13); one son, Kendrick Ansell Todd (age 10), all of Piedmont; his mother, Patricia Todd and mother-in-law, Delores Byrd West, both of Easley; brothers and sisters in Christ; a sister-in-law, Rhona (Bobby) Sims; a brother-in-law, Rodney (Jewel) Hendrix; his very special aunts, Denise Romero and Roz Lattimore of Yonkers, NY; a very special uncle, Tommy Coverdale of Dover, DE; three great-aunts, Ruby Nell Talley of Easley, SC, Juanita Holbrook of Springfield, MA, and Jennie Talley of North Jacksonville, FL; a great-uncle, Jasper Talley of Greenville, SC; a host of relatives and friends; and his loving church family.
