Lakeshia Thompson

March 8, 1978 — February 18, 2020

Ms. LaKeshia (Keshia) Michelle Thompson was born March 8, 1978, in Greenville, South Carolina, to the late Iris Lavonne Meekins Jackson and the late Wilbur Thompson, Jr. She transitioned to our Heavenly Father on February 18, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital Eastside.

Affectionally called “Kee-bone” by her late father, Keisha graduated from Wade Hampton High School in 1996, and studied Associate Health & Information Management at Greenville Technical College.

She enjoyed working in customer service, having previously worked at Tele Tech, Verizon and Alorica Call Centers. She would also prepare tax returns at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service. During her early years, at the age of 9, she was baptized at Saint Paul Baptist Church, where she attended and song on the Youth Choir for many years.

She leaves the following loved ones to cherish many memories: a son, Braylyn Jaquan Whiteside; a brother, Cedric Jermayne (Tina) Thompson; her grandmothers, Crebell Patterson Meekins and Alberta Louise Hill Thompson; two aunts, Earlinda M. (Ernest) Adams and Sharon D. Thompson; two nieces Nikianna White and Cedriyonia Thompson; a nephew, Jakaden Thompson; two great- aunts; a great-uncle; two great-nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.
