Lela Mae Hughes

Mrs. Lela Mae Hughes, 92, of 80 McCauley Lane, Travelers Rest passed on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at home. Born in Travelers Rest, she was the daughter of the late William Nathaniel Green and Mamie Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hughes, Sr.

Surviving: daughters, Virda Mae (Ellis) Carr of Travelers Rest, Rosella Gertrude Gray of Greenville, Willie Lou Cox of Travelers Rest, Juanita Cleo Latimore of Greenville; sons, Walter (Linda) Hughes, Jr. of Greenville and Jonathan M. Hughes of North Carolina; brother, Robert S. Green of Travelers Rest; and a host of other relatives and friends.
