Mr. Leroy “Butterball” Littlejohn, Jr., of Greenville, South Carolina, (formerly of Gainesville and Atlanta, Georgia), passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. Mr. Littlejohn was born on May 26, 1948, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Leroy, Sr., and Louise Robertson Littlejohn. He attended Gainesville City Schools and graduated from E.E. Butler High School in 1968. He was employed by Puritan Mills Chemicals in Atlanta, Georgia.
He was known for being a caring, loving and generous man who was always willing to assist a person in need and who loved and supported his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Lezora Littlejohn Hall.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are his children: Kevin Littlejohn of Gainesville, GA, Tonia Littlejohn of Jacksonville, FL, Jilvonnie “Jil” Littlejohn and Minister Keith C. (Paula) Finnie of Greenville, SC, Jeremy Lott (Perla) of Gainesville, GA; eleven grand-children, Matthew Littlejohn and Joshua Littlejohn, both of Baltimore, MD, Rebecca Littlejohn of Tuscaloosa, AL, Payten Littlejohn of Owings Mills, MD, Natalia Lott, Kolten Lott, Jordan Lott and Brielle Lott of Gainesville, GA, Courtney and Audrey Green of Atlanta, GA, and Da’Naris Thurmond of Gainesville, GA; five siblings, Minister Linda Jackson of Lithonia, Ga, Jackie (Cindy) Littlejohn of East Lansing, MI, Vivian (Bobby) Hughey of Stone Mountain, GA, Rassie P. Littlejohn of Gainesville, GA, and Timothy (Ollie) Littlejohn of Gainesville, GA. Mr. Littlejohn also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Littlejohn was also very close and loved dearly by his aunt, Linda Joanne Hester of Gainesville, GA, and special companion, Jimetta Finnie Littlejohn, Greenville, SC; he also leaves behind his faithful comfort Pet, Bambi.
