Mrs. Lila Ruth Morris, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina,departed this life on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Rookard and Lucy Chastine Williams.
She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and a retiree from Stone manufacturing Company.
She was a faithful member of Queen Street Baptist Church until her health began to decline. She participated in the Seniors-In-Action Ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Bryson Williams; her husband, Benjamin Morris; and two daughters, Angelia Reid and Debbie Morris.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are three daughters, Karen Morris of Columbia, SC, Tearrenee Morris (Johnny) Thompson of Easley, SC, and Krissy Brooks of Charlotte, NC; two brothers, Paul (Rosemary) Young of Erie, MI, and Johnny Young of Orlando, FL; an aunt, Emma Alexander of Charlotte, NC ten grandchildren, Tammara (Willie) Brown, Braylon Morris, Juriel Johnson, Loundon Johnson, Jasmine Morris, Lyla Johnson, Eric Reid, Fredrick Brooks, Brianna Brooks, Kevin Reid and Sidney Wells; seven great-grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
