Lillie Brown

Mrs. Lillie Ree “Mother” Brown, 98, of 26 Maudie Street, Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, November 24, 2016, at Magnolia Manor. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Abe and Janie Goodman Mills.

She retired from Belk Simpson Department Store.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Idine Brown, Sr.; a grandson, Michael Brown; sisters, Annie Mae Ford, Lucy Agnew, Lola Mangle, Loree White and Jessie Mae McGowan and a brother, O.B. Mills

Left to treasure many fond memories are son, Idine Brown, Jr., of Piedmont; goddaughter, Linda Brown Chancellor of Mauldin; sister, Inez Cook of Greenville; two grandchildren, Shelia Mansell and Thomas E. Brown; four great-grandchildren, Keisha Brown, Faith Freeman, Hallie Brown and Michelle Johnson; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
