Mrs. Linda Ann “Smoochies” Townes, 66, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Alonzo Burdine and Allene Bailey Bradley.
Linda was a graduate of Greenville High School and was formerly employed as a correction officer, cosmetologist, and teacher of special education. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Jesus is My Savior Ministries, the Elks Club and the R&B Club. She loved to sing Karaoke.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Edith Davis and Jean Sullivan; and three brothers, Albert Seawright, Whitt Seawright and Willie Seawright.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her companion, Eugene Koury of the home; four sons, William H. (Pamela) Bradley and Alex A. Bradley, both of Charlotte, NC, Kevin (Crystal) Townes of Greer, and Douglas A. (Kecia) Gaither of Los Angeles. CA; one sister, Alma Jean Burdine of Anderson, SC; four brothers, Bobby Burdine of Spartanburg, Claude Burdine of Atlanta, GA, Larry Burdine and Lewis Burdine, both of Greenville; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Dorothy Reid of Huntsville, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
