Mrs. Lois Mae Townes Ladson, 96, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Woodruff Manor, Woodruff, South Carolina.

Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late T. Townes and Alberta Townes. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Ladson was the wife to the late Robert Clayton Ladson for 67 years.

Surviving: four grandchildren, Steffond (Gitonya) Clay of Fountain Inn, SC, Geoffrey Demetrius Clay of Mauldin, SC, Taryn Spurgeon and Andre Ballenger, both of Greenville, SC; ten great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Diane Ballenger of Greenville, SC; a nephew Theodore “Ted” (Thomasina) Hunt of Greenville, SC; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Saturday, April 15, 2023, 11:00am at Antioch Baptist Church with private interment.
