Loree Johnson Kirksey

Mrs. Loree Johnson “Curl” Kirksey, 89, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Saturday April 25, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital-Downtown. She was a daughter of the late German and Effie M.. Blakley Johnson.

She was a graduate of Sterling High School and was employed at White Swan Cleaners. She attended Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Henry Kirksey; two daughters,Earrin Elaine Kirksey and Min. Veronica Williams; two sisters, Lille Ruth McDavid and Willie Mae Hill; eight brothers, Robert Odell Johnson, J.B. Johnson, Lonnie C Johnson, Conway C. Johnson, Allen Johnson, Otis Johnson, John Henry Johnson and Brawley E. Johnson.

Surviving: four daughters, Carolyn Kirksey of the home, Joann Kirksey, Janice Kirksey and Teresa Kirksey Brown, all of Greenville, SC; two sons, James (Lorraine) Kirksey of Powdersville, SC, and Terry (Tara) Kirksey of Asheville, NC; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
