Mr. Luther “Luke” Whitner, Sr., 66, of Greenville, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 6, 2021, at his residence. He was the son of the late L.T. and Lillian Webb Whitner.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Joyln Whitner; one daughter, Timeka (Alsindor) Green of Greenville, SC; two sons, Luther (Krystal) Whitner, Jr. of Simpsonville, SC and Derrick (Libby) Whitner of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Johnnie Ruth Thomas and Mary Johnson, both of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Jonas Whitner of Greenville, SC and Samuel Whitner (Jackie) of Gray Court, SC; four grandchildren, Joshua Whitner, Zharia Green, Jayon Williams, and Ava Whitner; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Sunday, August 15, 2021, 2:00 pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
