Ms. Garrett was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving: two granddaughters, Ikeisha Johnson, and Tameia Garrett, both of Baltimore, MD; two great-granddaughters, Meleia Bean and Aubrey Ancrum; her life partner, Charles Guyton of Greenville, SC and other family and friends
