Mamie Cruell

Mrs. Mamie L. Cruell of 212 Mount Pilgrim Court, Marietta SC, was the widow of the late Ray M. Cruell and the daughter of the late Fred and Ressie Workman. She was born November 18, 1935, in Pickens County and departed this life on February 18, 2016.

Mamie was a member of Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church where she faithfully served as Church Secretary, Choir Member, Usher, Women’s Missionary member, Youth Director, and YWA Member. She was a faithful representative and officer for Mount Pilgrim in the Ooleney River Baptist Association. She was retired from the Diamond Winter Corporation where she was an office assistant.

Mamie leaves to cherish many fond memories and carry on her work for the Lord, her children, two daughters, Rachel (Jerry) Austin of Clarksville, TN, and Melinda L. Cruell of Marietta, SC; four sons, Harold Cruell of Asheville, NC, Calvin E. Cruell of Marietta, SC, Ray A. (Regina) Cruell of Nashville, TN and Stanley Cruell of Marietta SC; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lucia Cruell of Marietta, SC. She was blessed to have thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
