Margaret Starks

Ms. Margaret Elizabeth Starks, 76, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed away at St. Francis Hospital on Monday, February 13, 2017. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Q. Z. Young Starks.

She attended Allen Elementary and Sterling High Schools. She was formerly employed at Celanese Fibers for over twenty years and retired after twenty years of service from Piedmont Lutheran Nursing Home. She was a member of Paris First Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Jesse James Starks, Jr.; sister, Edna McGowan and granddaughter, Tasha McKelvey.

Left to cherish many memories are her sons, Spencer (Angela) Starks of Taylors, Melvin Starks of Greenville and Kelvin Starks of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Sonja (Charles) Mickler-Smith of Piedmont and Ernestine Canty of Greenville; one aunt, Mae Helen Clark of White Plains, NJ; niece raised in the home, Nicoletta Starks of Greenville; four grandchildren, Yolanda Sewell, Brittnay Starks, Kristine Starks and Spencer Murray; step-grandchildren, Courtney Scott, Demise Scott, Tonie Scott, Alexis Scott, Kimberly Humphries and Diamond Scott; three great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
