Marion Phelps

Mr. Marion Hilton Phelps, 91, of 303 Viola Street, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at home. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Curtis and Ruth Davis Phelps. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Smith Phelps Gaddis and daughters, Alma Ruth Means and Jacquelyn D. Coleman.

Surviving: daughters; Patsy Poole, Dianne Poole, and Bennie Mae (Larry) Davies: sons; Marion Phelps and Charles Edward Phelps: stepdaughters; Doris Gaddis, Belinda (Jerome) Garnett, and Elaine Gaddis: stepsons; John Thomas Gaddis and Maurice Gaddis, all of Greenville, special niece; Curtis Frances Roberson of Jersey City, NJ: and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Service: Sunday, January 4, 2014, 3:00 PM at Watkins, Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
