Celebrating the Life of Mary Louise Burton Billups
Mary Louise Burton Billups, 79, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Louise was the daughter of the late Helen Burton Wilson and Bennie Scurry.
Louise was a faithful member of Israel Metropolitan Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret McDowell, and Jacqueline Arnold; and brothers, Bennie Edward Burton, and Rev. Johnny Lewis Wilson.
Louise leaves to cherish many fond memories, one son, George (Lawaynia) Billups of Piedmont, SC; one daughter, Dedria (Roddy) Locust of Concord, North Carolina; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia (Sammy) Moore and Denise Wilson-Glenn; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Burton, and Addie Bell Smith Wilson; a brother-in-law Sam McDowell and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
