Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Townes Reese, 90, of Greenville, South Carolina passed on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. She was a daughter of the late Jim Townes and Jessie Black Townes and the widow of the late William H. Reese, Sr.
Surviving: one son, William H. (Sara) Reese, Jr., of Greenville, SC; four daughters, Carolyn Ann (Mack) Holloway of Taylors, SC, Mary Jane (Bill) Bennett of Easley, SC, Tammy (James) Thompson of Charlotte, NC, and Angie R. (Ken) Atkins of Lawrenceville, GA; one sister, Tommie Bobo of Tampa, FL; one brother, Melvin Townes of Tampa, FL; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Sunday, March 6, 2022, 1:30pm at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
