Mrs. Mary Jo Evans, 68, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Friday, February 15, 2019, at McCall Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Willie and Claty Bell Dunlap Allen.
Mary Jo dedicated her life to love and serve the LORD and her family. She was a proud mother, grandmother and loyal friend, member of Mountain View Temple of Praise in Greenville, SC and New Divine Healing Minister’s Outreach of Greenville. She attended Bryson High School and graduated from Washington High School, Class of 69, where she made many friends through her smile and her kindness. She enjoyed working over 35 years at Kemet Electronics.
She will be remembered for her patience, strength and humble approach to life. Mary Jo’s legacy will live on through all those she touched through the comfort of Jesus, because he knows her name.
Left to treasure many fond and loving memories are a daughter, Tarita Stephanie Carter of Greenville, SC; two sons, Patrick (Delicia) Evans of Atlanta, GA, and Phillip Jerome Evans of Greenville, SC; one brother, Willie Elliot (Peggy) Allen of Greenville, SC; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
