Mrs. Mary Lee Parks Butler, 75, of Greenwood, South Carolina, departed this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at her home. She was a daughter of the late James Luther, Sr., and Rachel Robinson Parks,, Sr.
She was employed at Greenwood Rehabilitation Hospital.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Eureka Butler; a sister, Rose Wideman; two brothers, James Parks and Lionel Parks; and a godson, Danny Holmes.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are her husband, Mack Butler of the home; five daughters, Mary (Patrick) Moton of Greenwood, Priscilla (Garry) Harrison of Piedmont, Tonya (Jason) Anderson of Greenwood, Rhonda Belcher (Delvon Dean) of Greenwood, and Rachel Butler of Spartanburg; five sons, Matthew Butler of Greenwood, Anthony (Shirley) Butler of Greenville,Michael Butler (Dorothy Murray) of Greenwood, Sherman (Billie) Butler of Simpsonville, and Timothy (Carolyn) Butler, of Greenwood; five sisters, Emma Lou Williams, of Flushing, NY, Ada Alexis of Brooklyn, NY and Eula Brunson, of Jamaica, NY, Fannie Bell Gilbert of Greenwood, and Eileen Butler of Greenville; two brothers, Jamie (Joyce) Parks of Sumter, and Winston (Marie) Parks of Bayside, NY; seven grandchildren raised in the home, Andrea’ (Gregory) Wells, Rashad Ligon, Timothy Butler, Jr.,Marquise Butler, Lauren Butler, Christopher Jones and Adrienne Butler; twenty-two other grandchildren; thirty-six great-grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
