Mrs. Mary Lois Poole Abercrombie, 66, departed this life on Monday, December 21, 2015, at her home. She was born in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Melvin Poole and Melba Anderson Poole.
She attended Sterling High School and formerly worked at Oakmont Nursing Home, Greenville High and Hillcrest High Schools. She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Abercrombie, Sr.; sons, George Abercrombie, Jr. and Ricky Abercrombie; brothers, Calvin, Marvin, Larry and Ronnie Poole.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda L. Abercrombie of Piedmont, SC, Bertha W. (Calvin) Abercrombie Smith, Gloria A. Abercrombie, Ethel A. Clement-Riley, Tiffany Ann (Maurice) Patterson, all of Greenville, SC and Lanika Michelle Clement of Lawrenceville, GA; sons, Matthew Clement and Paul Anthony Lomax both, of Greenville, SC; sister, Anita Poole of Greenville, SC; aunt, Emma McKoy of Greenville, SC; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
