Mary Spearman

Mother Mary Alice “Coot” Spearman, 88, departed this life to go to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at Greenville Health System. Born in Simpsonville, she was a daughter of the late Florence and Cora Beasley Martin.

Mother Spearman was a loving and kind woman of God, she loved life and lived it to its fullest. Her family loved and adored her. She was the former mother of the Peace Baptist Church where her daughter serves as the Pastor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Spearman; daughters, Annie Ruth Bryant, Susie Ann Williams and Dorothy Jeanette Lloyd; sons, Aaron Cureton and Earnest Gene Lloyd; four sisters, Florence Louella Beeks, Rosa Lee Ellis, Bobby Jean Phelps and Myrtle Moore and three brothers, Willie Calvin Martin, Claude Martin and Lawrence Martin.

Left to cherish many fond memories: three daughters, Minister Earnestine Lyons, Phyllis C. Jones, and Pastor Mary L. Lloyd, all of Greenville; two sons, Willie C. Lloyd of Six Mile and Grady E. Lloyd of Greenville; one sister, Corrine Palmer; one brother, Wilton Martin of Greenville; 21 grand-children, 45 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
