Mr. Matthew ‘Gerard’ Phillips, 60, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at St. Francis, downtown. He was a son of Mathalean McDavid Phillips and the late Matthew Phillips.
He was married to Shirley Sullivan Phillips for 18 years.
Surviving in addition to his mother and wife, one daughter, Kanisha Nicole Phillips of Taylors, SC; two stepdaughters, Ashley and Treazure Sullivan of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Cassandra Phillips of Greenville, SC, and Melvina (Michael) Rogers of Fountain Inn, SC; four step-grandchildren; a nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services: Monday, December 5, 2022, time 12:00noon, at New Hope Baptist Church, Belton, SC; with interment in Church Cemetery.
