Mattie Booker

Mrs. Mattie Grove Booker, 83, of Taylors, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at her home. Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Walter Eugene Grove and Angie Bowen Grove.

She attended Sterling High School and retired from Monaghan Mill. She was a member of the Lincoln Community Club and Shoals Creek Missionary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Booker, Sr.; a sister, Mary Ann Dodd; and a brother Tony Grove.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are three daughters, Nancy Woodruff of Taylors, SC, Peggy (Adolphus) Ware of Greer, SC and Angie B. (Sammy) Johnson of Taylors, SC; four sons, Robert Booker, Jr., Walter (Sandra) Booker, Minister Tommy (Sherrie) Booker, all of Taylors and Willie (Monica) Booker of Greer, SC; one sister, Connie Griffin of Greenville, SC; twenty-nine grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren; and a host of sister in laws, brother in laws, relatives and friends.
