Mr. Maurice “Bud” Blakley, Jr., 77, of 10 Boyd Drive, Travelers Rest, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Laurens, South Carolina. He was a son of the late Maurice Blakley, Sr., and Alma Mars Blakely.
“Bud” was a graduate of Sanders High School and a retiree of Judson Mills. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church in Laurens.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Blakely; and two sisters, Lois Graham and Vera Boozer.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are four sisters, Mattie Vance, Shirley (Calvin) Jones, Julia (George) Franklin and Rozell (Earl) Bailey, all of Laurens, a godson, Kassius B. Burton of Greenville; a devoted niece, Teresa Lee of Laurens; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
