On February 28, 1955, Rosa Lee Jordan and Thomas Yates, Sr. were blessed with a beautiful baby boy, whom they named, Melvin Bernard Yates. He resided in Greenville, SC and departed this life on October 22, 2015.
He was educated in the Greenville County Schools and attended Sterling High School. He was self-employed. Melvin gave his life to God.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Lee Jordan and Thomas Yates, Sr. and two brothers, Thomas Yates, Jr. and Raymond A. Jordan.
Left to cherish his fond memories are his brother, William “Blood” Jordan of West Palm Beach, FL; a special aunt, Betty Jean Keaton; a special uncle, Donald “Hitman” Norton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.
