Melza Poole

Ms. Melza Poole 82, transitioned from this life on March 30, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Ervin Walter and Lillian Mobley Poole.

She was a member of New Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she sang in the Sanctuary Choir, served on the Pastor’s Aid, and was a member of the Culinary Team. She was a graduate of Chris Logan Beauty College in 1989. She was a childcare provider and retired from this profession. She loved reading and studying the bible. She enjoyed traveling and cherished spending time with her family.

She was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her seven brothers and five sisters.

Melza leaves to cherish many fond memories, three sons, William (Karen) Poole of Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Rebecca) Poole of Greenville, SC, and Allen (Yolanda) Vernon of Moseley, VA; four daughters, Delk Goodine of Greenville, SC, Marian (James) McCray of Easley, SC, Doris Vernon of Henrico, VA, and Jacqueline Vernon of Greenville, SC; a very beloved family friend, Sammy (Bertha) Edwards of Greenville, SC; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grand-children, one great-great-grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
