Mildred Barksdale

Mrs. Mildred Barksdale, 93, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, August 28, 2017, at her home. She was a daughter of the late Waver and Bertha Scott Wood.
She worked for the Greenville County Schools for over thirty years as a dietician, and at Phyllis Wheatley Center.
She was a member of the Lowndes Hill Baptist Church, where she served in the Missionary Ministry, the Usher Board and the Lowndes Hill Chapter #164 OES.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Barksdale, and a son, Alfred Barksdale, II.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories: son, Albert Roy Barksdale of Belton; daughter-in-law, Joyce Barksdale of Greenville; sister, Eleanor Dawson of Greenville; four grandchildren, Alfred, Renea, Rodney and Tomeka; nine great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
