Minister Curtis “Curt” Chandler, Jr., of 1103 Antioch Church Road, Greenville, South Carolina, was born in Greenville County on March 13, 1953, to the late Curtis, Sr., and Ruby Bell Terry Chandler. He departed this earthly shell on Thursday, June 13, 2019.
He was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1971, where he excelled in athletics.
He was married to the late Jackie Lou Edwards Chandler.
He was a retired employee of Edgecomb/MacSteel Metal Company, with over 30 years of dedication.
He was a member of Open Heart Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as an Armor Bearer, Associate Minister, All Male Chorus, Van Driver, Sunday School Teacher, Care Ministry Leader, Outreach Ministry and Junior/Adult Brotherhood.
Curtis was deeply passionate about fashion and his appearance, and devoted his life to the Lord, his family and church.
He leaves to cherish many fond and loving memories: a daughter, Alisha L. Lee of Atlanta, GA, two sons, Cameron Curtis Chandler and Zachary Daniel Chandler, both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Elder Bobby L. (Karen Rene’) Chandler of Simpsonville, SC; three sisters, Nancy L. Chandler, Margie A. Chandler and Min. J. Celeste Chandler Posey, all of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren, LaVelle (TJ) Lee of Los Angeles, CA, Brooklynn Khobi-Lou Chandler and Bronx Legend Chandler, both of Greenville, SC; four aunts, Mrs. Grace Terry, Apostle Bertha F. Terry, Shirley Chandler and Daisy Chandler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
