Minister Veronica Williams

December 29, 1951 — October 11, 2017

Minister Veronica Kirksey “Bonnie” Williams, 65, of Greenville, South Carolina departed this life to go to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at home. She was a daughter of Loree Johnson Kirksey and the late George Henry Kirksey.

She attended Sterling High School and was formerly employed at Greenville Health System. She studied nursing in the Job Corp and spent many years of her life as a fulltime minister.

She was a member and one of the associate ministers of the Queen Street Baptist Church, where she served for many years. She was associated with the Disciples of Christ Ministry, a former Young Matron, New Convert Class Teacher, Noon-Day Prayer leader and a Deaconess.

Minister Williams was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Elaine Kirksey.

Left to cherish many loving memories are her husband, Minister Tony W. Williams of the home; her mother, Loree Johnson Kirksey of Greenville; two daughters, Shelia (Adrian) Leverette of Simpsonville and Jessica Kirksey of Greenville; two sons, Antonieto Lavonne (Sharhonda) Kirksey and Patrick (Phyllis) Kirksey, both of Greenville; four sisters, Carolyn Kirksey, Joann Kirksey, Janice Kirksey and Teresa Kirskey, all of Greenville; two brothers, James (Lorraine) Kirksey of Greenville and Terry (Tara) Kirksey of Asheville, NC; an aunt, Ruth Kirksey of Greenville; seven grandchildren, Kenshay, Neantae, Notorian, Antiniya Antonito, Adriana and Adrian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
