Mother Doris White

Mother Doris Elaine White, 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life to go to her heavenly home on Sunday, September 10, 2017, at McCall Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Virginia Mae Dowens White.

She was an employee for the Charlie Mickel Family for over twenty-three years. She was a faithful member of the Refuge Temple Church for many years. She served as a Missionary and a member of the Pastor’s Aide Committee.

Mother White was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia M. Dowens White; grandmother, Mary Massey Dowens; uncle, Forrest Dowens, Jr., and aunts, Gertha Dowens, Beulah Dowens Blount, Ada Dowens Miles and Bertha Dowens Peralta.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by cousins, Sidney A. (Tina) Peralta, Mary O. Peralta, Robert L. (Minnie) Miles, Nettie M. Jones, JoAnn Rainey, Shari Peralta, Shemar Peralta, Kanayah Freeman, and Gloria Sullivan, all of Greenville, Rev. Linda M. Kirksey of Mauldin, Andrew D. (Gwendolyn) Miles of Spartanburg and Sherby Searles of Cleveland, OH; and extended family members, Charlie, Michelle, Clark and Austin Mickel, all of Greenville.
