Mother Mary Ruth Rosier

Mother Mary Ruth “Mama” Rosier, 71, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Patewood Rehabilitation Health Center. Born in Pauline, she was the daughter of the late David and Charlotte Ruth Simmons.

Surviving: husband, Bishop Joseph E. Rosier, Sr. of the home; daughters, Jennifer (Leroy) Wood, Elbonita (Antonio) Nicholas, and Marqutta (Davis) Omotosho; sons, Joseph Rosier, Jr. and Zebah Sanchez Rosier; sisters, Elwillie Simmons, Betty (Frank) Asmond, Lois (Pete) Asmond, and Charlene Simmons, all of Columbia; brothers, Pastor Robert (Shirley) Simmons of Sumter, Pastor Nathaniel (O’Cynthia) Simmons of Latta, Pastor Henry (Renee) Simmons of Columbia, Melvin (Winifred) Simmons of Columbia, Bernard (Jacqueline) Simmons of Columbia, and John Simmons of Columbia; fourteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
