Mother Mildred Jeannette Jenkins, 77, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, departed this life to go to her Heavenly home on Sunday, April 2, 2017. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Berry and Beatrice Estell Collins Berry.
She was formerly employed by J.P. Stevens Company. She was a member of A Higher Dimension Ministries where she served as Pastor’s Aide President, president of the Deaconess Board, an usher, and an armor bearer. She was known for making beautiful blankets, she has made over 100 to give out to family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Holwell Jenkins and brothers, William Henry Berry, Jr., James Berry, Melvin Berry and Melford Berry.
Left with many fond and loving memories are one daughter, Shelice (Pastor Morris) Bouie of Simpsonville; four sons, Jack Jenkins of Easley, Leonard (Panchetta) Jenkins and Andre (Tara) Jenkins, both of Greenville and Donnell (Christie) Jenkins of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Susan (Charles) Spencer of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Bernard Berry of Baltimore, MD; one aunt, Theresa Arnold of Baltimore, MD twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. other relatives and friends.
