Mrs. Shirley Denise Young

Mrs. Shirley Denise Woody Young, 58, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, wife of Thomas Lee Young, Jr., passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of Charles and Patricia Thompson Woody.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and parents: one daughter, Jameshia Thomason of Greenville, SC; one son, Corey Woody of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Deborah (Darrell) Johnson of Simpsonville, SC and Sandra (Thomas) Hughes of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Jermaine Woody and Charles Woody both of Greenville, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services: Sunday, September 1, 2024, 1:00pm, at Watkins Garrett & Woods Mortuary, with interment in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
