Mrs. Vangy Wood

Mrs. Vangy Lee Valentine Wood, 81, daughter of the late Daniel Valentine  and Augusta M. Valentine was born August 6,1942, and entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at her home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Mr. Ernest Wood Sr, her daughter, Valerie Wood Wilson (Michael Wilson - devoted son-in-law), two brothers Daniel Valentine and Amos R. Valentine, Sr., six sisters, Mamie Cunningham, Lucille Siders, Georgia Gaines, Alma Farrell, Hattie Sheppard, and Margaree Clark. 

 She graduated from Bryson High School, Greenville, SC in 1960. She was employed by Hav-a-Hank Company then a homemaker until her death. She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church #1 in Greenville, South Carolina. 

 She leaves to cherish three sons, Ernest Wood Jr (Cassandra) of Piedmont, Wayne Wood (Linda) of Greenville, SC, and Chavar Wood (Kelly) of Greer, SC and a special son Norman Goodwin of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a special daughter Andrea Spriggs. 

 She leaves to cherish 6 grandchildren Terrance (Kenyatta) Sweeney of Memphis, Tennessee, Eric (Jessica) Wood of Laurens, South Carolina, TaMarrah (Ryan) Mosley of Piedmont, South Carolina, Johnathan Wood (London) of Greenville, South Carolina, Mikala Wilson of Greer, South Carolina, Cole Wood of Greer, South Carolina, and Della Valerie Wood of Greer, South Carolina and a host of great grandchildren. A special devoted nurse Sharon Byers and dear friend Walter Byers.
