Neal Goldsmith

Mr. Neal Gordon “Godfather” Goldsmith, Sr., 98, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Greer Health and Rehabilitation. He was a son of the late Columbus and Bertha Young Goldsmith.
He was a retiree of the Library and was a veteran of the United States Army. He attended Piedmont Manor Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta Goldsmith; son, Neal G. Goldsmith, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Keva N. Hill.
Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are three daughters, Pat Carelock of Greensboro, NC, Barbara Lax and Carolyn Goldsmith, both of Greenville, SC; three sons, Rev. Johnny (Min. Marie) Goldsmith, Larry Goldsmith and Marshall Goldsmith, all of Greenville, SC; one sister,Carolyn (Michael) Howell of Orangeburg, SC; one brother, Calvin ( Julia) Goldsmith of Cleveland, OH; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grand-children; and a host of other relatives and friends.
