Mrs. Nellie Mae Canty, 83, of Greenville, South Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at her home. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Georgia Poole Chaney Gillian.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie M. Canty, Sr.; brothers, Robert Chaney, Zeal Chaney and Connie Chaney and sisters, Roberta Chaney, Elnora C. Carter, Janie C. Goodjohn, Emily C. Kerns and Elmira G. Brown.
Left to cherish fond memories are her three daughters, Gail L. Canty of Greenville, Denise Y. (Michael) Bentley of Cincinnati, OH, and Katrina N. (Eugene) Chapman of Greenville; one son, Willie M. (Eunice) Canty of Piedmont, S.C.; one sister, Georgia Frances Mattison of Greenville; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Daniel, Samuel (Hannah), Tangela, Matthew, and Maya; two great-grandchildren, Micaiah and Anslei; and a host of other relatives and friends
