Mr. Newman James Jackson, 57, of Simpsonville, South Carolina, husband of Paulette Yvette Black Jackson for 33 years, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at his residence. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he was a son of the late Newman James Jackson, Sr., and the late Jessie Rose Whitehead.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Newman James (Jasmine) Jackson, III and Jonathan Jackson both of Simpsonville, SC and Brieana (Gavin) Handy of Fountain Inn, SC; six siblings, Larry (Karen) Turner, Rodney Whitehead and Saundra Whitehead-Thomas all of Baton Rouge, LA, Stanley Whitehead of Dallas, TX, Ellis (Blanch) Jackson of Charlotte, NC and David (Yvette) Whitehead of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Friday, December 15, 2023, 1:00pm, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with interment private.
