There’s a sweet, sweet spirit in this place. That same spirit dwells in Pamala Denice Adams Nesbitt. Pam, as she was affectionately known, became one of God’s angels on December 24, 2015, at 3:28 a.m. as she transitioned from earth to her heavenly home.
Pam was born on May 3, 1978 in Greenville, S.C. She attended public school in Pickens County, graduating from Easley High in 1996. While at Easley she demonstrated her athletic ability by playing volleyball, basketball, and running track. She also earned her cosmetology license from B. J. Skelton Career Center.
Pam attended USC, Upstate where she ran Cross Country on a partial scholarship. She later attended Southern Wesleyan University and she was fifteen hours away from completing her degree in Business Administration when became ill.
Pam was a wife, mother, student, motivator, friend, and a constant “ray of sunshine.” She always wore a smile and offered up words of encouragement. She worked as both a cosmetologist and a bank teller before her illness.
Pam dedicated her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church. She was active in the choir, Sunday school, youth group, and usher board and even into her adult life she remained focused on her spirituality and her “great commission” to go forth and serve.
On Saturday, July 8, 2000, Pam was joined in holy matrimony with Maurice Levon Nesbitt. They became parents to two amazing young men, Jayvaughn and Jarvis (Braylin).
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Maurice; her sons, Jayvaughn and Jarvis (Braylin) of the home; her parents, Leroy and Dr. Pernice Adams of the home; 2 brothers, Darrell Adams, Greenville, SC and Ronald Adams (Misty), Travelers Rest, SC; grandmother, Claudia Corley of the home; mother-in-law, Rosetta Nesbitt, Spartanburg, SC; father-in-law, Melvin Nesbitt, Sr.(Sandra); 3 sister-in-laws, Misty Adams, Marian Nesbitt, and Yolanda Adams; 1 brother-in-law, Melvin Nesbitt, Jr.; 15 aunts, 12 uncles, 3 nieces, 4 nephews, 1 grandnephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.
