Patricia Bryson

October 16, 1942 — March 21, 2018

Mrs. Patricia Ann “Pat” Bryson, 75, of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of Greenville, South Carolina, life ‘s book closed on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Hospice of Savannah. She was a daughter of the late Julius Bowens, Sr., and Mamie Davis Bowens.

She attended public schools in Greenville and she accepted the Lord at an early age at the Mt. Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church.

She met and married the love of her life, the late Melvin Bryson. They moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she lived, worked, and worshipped for many years. Upon Melvin’s death, Pat moved back to Greenville, and resumed her membership at Mt. Emmanuel where she was a faithful member. Pat loved her family and friends and they loved her back. She always spoke her mind but with words of wisdom and encouragement. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. To know her was to love her. No more sickness, no more pain and now she can rest.

She had one brother, Julius Bowens. Jr., whom she loved dearly who preceded in death, along with her parents and husband.

Left to cherish many fond and loving memories are two daughters, Brenda (Roland) Dixon of Savannah, GA, and Germaine Elberhart of Detroit, MI; three sons, Daniel Atkins and Michael Bryson, both of Greenville and Delbert Bryson of Detroit, MI; eight grandchildren; a special sister-in-law, Nellie Ruth Bowens; and a host of other relatives and friends.
