.Mr. Raymond Richard Banks, 82, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Monday, November 5, 2018, at McCall Hospice House. He was born in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of the late Clifford and Martha Blair Banks.
He was a graduate of Wilmington High School and a retiree of the former Poinsett House.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Ree Gaines Banks; and a daughter, Tanya Marie Banks.
Left to cherish many fond memories are a daughter, Tracey L. (Paul) Rice of Simpsonville; a son, Rev. Richard (Carolyn) Scott of Greenville; five grand-children, Nakemia Banks, Richard(Ashley) Scott, Jr., Carlos Banks, Shevon Evans and Alex Butler; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
