Ms. Ree’Jeana Kawanus “Wannie” Fletcher, 42 of Simpsonville, South Carolina, departed this life on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Greenville Health System.
Ree’Jeana received her BA degree from the University of South Carolina. She was employed at Stella’s Southern Brasserie in Greenville and a member of World Changers Church in New York.
Ree’Jeana Kawanus loved unconditionally, gave and served endlessly; never met a stranger, always put a smile on other’s faces when she entered the room. She would give her last dollar to another in need; encouraged and inspired the ones she came in contact with. She spent her days off caring for her grandmother, washing her clothes, cleaning and organizing excellently. She enjoyed the simple things in life, feeding the ducks, fish and turtles at Furman’s lake, the wildlife in the backyard and an all girls date to the movies. Oh how we loved her and will miss her!
She was preceded in death by her brother, James P. Fletcher, Jr.
Left to cherish many fond memories: her mother, Katherine Lewers Watts Fletcher of the home; father, James P. Fletcher of Greenville; sisters, Katrina (Warren) Jones of Greenville, Alitheious Watts of Simpsonville, Alesha Fletcher of Columbia, Timmi (Gregory) McKelvey of Piedmont, Audrey Fletcher, Susan Fowler and Irene Fletcher, all of Greenville; grandmother, Ruby Katherine Lewers of Greenville; aunts, Annie R. Lewers and Doris L.A. Robinson, both of Greenville and Jannie L. (Elvin)Turner of Vallejo, CA; uncles, James A. Lewers of Mauldin, William C. Lewers and Ervin R. Lewers, both of Greenville and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
