Rev. Harold Jones

Rev. Harold Lee Jones, 65, of Greenville, departed this life on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Greenville Health System. He was born on June 19, 1952, a son of the late Joseph C. Jones, Sr., and Carrie Louise Henry Jones.

He was a graduate of Wade Hampton High School and a retiree of Muffin Man Company. He was a former member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church #2 and was a veteran of the United States Marines.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy Tyrone Jones and Rev. Walter Charles Jones.

Left to treasure many fond and loving memories are his wife, Viola Lovelace Jones of the home; daughter, Dena T. Jones of Greenville; stepdaughter, Jacqueline Jones of the home; sons, Harold Lee Jones, Jr., of Henderson, NC and Orlando Thompson of Greenville; sisters, Carolyn E. (Ronald) McKinney. Rosa J. (Luther) Still and Virginia E. (Robert) Champion, all of Greenville and SFC Gwendolyn Soto of Ft. Bliss, TX; brothers, Joseph C. (Loretta) Jones, Jr., of Greenville and Rev. William Nathaniel Jones of Atlantic City, NJ; fourteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
