Rev. John Goodine

Rev. John Larry Goodine was born in Pickens County on April 6, 1952, and departed this life October 8, 2016. He was the son of the late Matthew W. and Carrie L. Goodine.

He was a member of New Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where he served as an Associate Ministry, a Deacon, taught Sunday school, served as a Youth Advisor, and a member of the Sanctuary Choir.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Sammy and Jimmy Mack Goodine.

He leaves to cherish his many fond memories his wife Delk Goodine; three sons, Sammy (Cindy) Goodine of Easley, SC, John Ricardo (Wylanda) Goodine of Anderson, SC, and Darian Vernon of Charleston, SC; three daughters, Katesha (Desmond) Wesley of Anderson, SC, Jasmine Twitty of Simpsonville, SC,and Kimberely Vernon of Charlotte, NC; four brothers, Horace, Hoyt, and Billy Goodine, all of Greenville, and Elzie Goodine of Anderson, SC; one sister, Eyvonne (Kenn) Simpson of Grenville, SC; mother-in-law, Melza Poole of Greenville, SC; three brothers-in-law, William Poole of Syracuse, NY, Thomas (Rebecca) Poole of Greenville, SC, and Allen (Yolanda) Vernon of Moseley, VA; three sisters-in-law, Marian (James) McCray of Easley, SC, Doris Vernon of Richmond, VA, and Jacqueline Vernon of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
